MUSCAT: Oman stormed into the quarterfinals of the second CISM World Cup football championship after edging France 3-2 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex on Friday. Oman gathered 7 points from 3 matches to top Group A.
Bahrain took the other quarterfinal spot from Group A after they drew with Guinea 1-1 and ended with 5 points.
France stunned Oman when Kevin Yannick Dumontant struck one past Oman goalkeeper Fayez al Rashidi
in the 6th minute.
