Oman condemns terror attack in Bahrain

Oman has condemned the terrorist bombing in the Bahraini capital of Manama, as well as the two attacks that took place in Marseille (France) and Edmonton (Canada). Oman also condemned in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the shooting incident in the city of Las Vegas.


The statement stressed the solidarity of the Sultanate with brotherly and friendly countries to ensure the safety of their citizens and stability to fight violence and terrorism. Oman expressed their sincere condolences to the families of the victims.


Manama attack


Five Bahraini policemen were lightly injured in a 'terrorist explosion' outside the capital Manama on Monday, the state news agency reported. The agency said the blast occurred in the village of Daih on Budaiya road while the policemen were guarding a procession marking the annual Ashura festival.


The agency quoted the interior ministry as saying on its Twitter account that 'the necessary steps' were being taken, without giving any details.
