The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Oman issued a statement that condemned the terrorist attack on the diplomatic district in the Afghan capital of Kabul, killing and injuring hundreds of innocent civilians.

The statement reiterated the Sultanate's firm and rejectionist stance towards all forms of violence and terrorism because it is contrary to the religious values and the noble humanitarian principles.

The statement also affirmed the solidarity of the Sultanate with the friendly Republic of Afghanistan in this great casualty, whose purpose was to destabilize security and stability and to intimidate the safe civilians, especially in the holy month of Ramadan.

The statement expressed the condolences of the Sultanate to the families of the victims and to the friendly Afghan government and its wishes for speedy recovery
