SALALAH: A financing agreement for the 2017 Assistance Programme for Families of Social Security, Limited Income and Orphans was signed on Wednesday at the Office of the Minister of State and the Governor of Dhofar within the framework of the Community Partnership and Support of National Initiatives between the Oman Charitable Organisation (OCO) and the Salalah Methanol Company.
Adviser Abdullah bin Aqeel al Ibrahim, Acting Deputy Governor of Dhofar, Chairman of the Local Committee of Oman Charitable Organisation in the Governorate of Dhofar and Awadh bin Hassan al Shanfari, CEO of Salalah Methanol Company, signed the agreement.
The agreement provides for the allocation of RO 200,000 from Salalah Methanol Company to finance 33 students who have difficulty completing their university studies or new grants to finance 12 students, as well as the payment of arrears of 21 bachelor students from social security and limited income families and orphans in the Governorate of Dhofar. — ONA
