Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), developed by Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) has signed an agreement with Intercontinental Hotel of IHG Group to be the catering partner for the world-class convention centre.
Accordingly, Intercontinental Muscat will undertake all the OCEC catering requirements for the OCEC exhibitions and conferences.
“The relations between the Intercontinental and OCEC began well before the opening of the Centre some four months ago and will continue to be the sole catering partner as we are booked till 2024 for various events”, Trevor Mc Cartney, General-Manager, OCEC said.
“While sharpening our focus on MICE tourism, we’ll also be hosting weddings thanks to Oman’s growing potential as a ‘Destination Tourism’s hotbed. We’ll have a massive wedding hall as part of the second phase”, said MC Cartney

OCEC, which has already been listed among world’s leading convention and exhibition centre management companies has various international events lined up in its list.
They include 40th SICOT Orthopedic World Congress to be held from November 28-30, 2019, 7th UITP MENA Assembly & Training Sessions, and IDF Oman among others.
