The National Business Centre (NBC), which is part of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), has signed incubation pacts with two firms.

The first pact was signed with Astronomy Pioneer Projects, ‏which seeks to encourage an interest in astronomy, space and applied sciences in society, notably by providing educational and scientific tools and optical equipment, such as telescopes, microscopes and related technologies. Besides, the company provides consultancy and training for clients to implement astronomical projects such as planetariums and astronomical observatories. The second agreement was signed with Bin Farooq LLC, which is specialised in management consultancy, quality health safety and environment consultancy, project financial consultancy, organisational culture assessment and development, leadership workshops and coaching, and auditor training.

The National Business Centre is an initiative launched by PEIE at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) to offer promising Omani entrepreneurs a platform to develop their business ideas and advance them into growing ventures. The centre offers a premier platform for Omani entrepreneurs by providing business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office space, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
