MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality on Thursday signed an agreement with Al Raffd Fund to provide 8 municipal services through ‘Sanad’ Service Centers using the e-standard system at the Centers.
The five-year agreement comes within Muscat Municipality keenness to facilitate and simplify the procedures for the services rendered to the public by utilizing the applications of the e-government in cooperation with Al Raffd Fund.
As per the agreement, Al Raffd Fund and whichever it may assign will have the right to render the 8 services agreed upon namely renewing lease contract, renewing municipal license, application for car parks, renewing licenses for car parks, payment of the parking fines, registration at Muscat Suppliers Register, printing request for quotations, renewing construction permit certificate and any other future services that the two parties may agree upon.
The agreement specifies the terms for providing data and technical cooperation between Al Raffd Fund and the Muscat Municipality. As per the agreement, the services will be provided through ‘Sanad’ e-portal.
‘Sanad’ standard system will be linked to Muscat Municipality systems. Muscat Municipality will also provide the maintenance and technical support which includes reengineering, designing and updating transactions to meet the needs of Muscat Municipality.
According to the agreement, Al Raffd Fund will provide training for ‘Sanad’ Centers owners and employees and will provide a communication centre for providing the technical support for these centres. The Fund will also specify the rates for services rendered by ‘Sanad’ Centres. — ONA
