MUSCAT: The Civil Service Employees Pension Fund has initiated detailed plans for a multi-purpose investment building in Ghala area in the Governorate of Muscat. The building comes within the initiatives of the fund to diversify its investments and develop tourism sector in the Sultanate. The project includes four-star hotel, serviced and hotel apartments, shopping areas, food corners, fully-serviced office spaces and retail outlets. The building, which covers an area of 146,962 square metres includes a ground floor dedicated for shops, four floors for offices, five floors for serviced and hotel rooms and three basements for car parking.
The hotel, which stretches over 3,782 square metres, includes 247 rooms and suites, 50 deluxe apartments, food corners for international restaurants, rooms for meeting, conferences and events and a health club. Movenpick, a renewed hotel operator, has been selected to be the operator of this hotel. The hotel will also be the first one to be operated by the company in the Sultanate.
