Complementing the national drive towards empowering the mining sector as an alternative source of national income, a high level conference on mining that will bring together 350 attendees from 25 countries will take place in Oman on October 9 and 10 at the Sheraton Oman.
Titled ‘Mining Investment Middle East & Central Asia’, the two-day conference has by now garnered a name as ‘a strategic mining conference and exhibition for the leaders of the mining, quarrying and construction materials industries’, according to Ng Chin Chye, Director (Marketing & Public Relations), Spire Events, Singapore, the powerhouse behind the conference.
A cross section of experts, ministers, mining companies, investors and service providers from all over Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America will descend down on Oman for two days of partnering, networking and business matching as part of the only global mining investment conference in Oman which is dedicated to attracting an international profile of attendees to the mineral rich Sultanate.
“The exhibition, second in the series, is distinguished for the number of mining companies, service providers and financiers that facilitate mining professionals get access to mining projects, technical expertise and latest solutions. The conference will also gather Middle East’s top governments, institutional investors, miners and industry business leaders to discuss latest opportunities to take the mining industry to the next level”, he added.
A senior official at the Ithra will deliver an investment address titled ‘Promoting foreign investments in Oman’s economy — a look at the natural resources, metals and construction materials sectors’, followed by the keynote address by Nicholas Assef, Founder and Executive Director, LCC Asia Pacific, Australia on ‘Analysing deal activity, capital flows & valuations in the resources & resource services sectors’.
Fatemah Daneshvar, Managing Director, Sayahan Sepehr Asia Company, Iran will be sharing stage with Dean Cunningham, CEO, Kunooz Oman Holding, Oman and Henry Antwi, Commercial and Technical Advisor, Mining Development Oman.
