By Staff Reporter — MUSCAT: Jan. 18 - The criminal investigations team of the police department in Muscat Governorate has arrested a citizen on charges of robbery and impersonating a police officer. As per the details released by Royal Oman Police (ROP), the accused stopped an Asian expatriate in Ruwi in Wilayat Muttrah pretending to be a policeman and asked him to submit his documents. He took the victim to a nearby building and robbed him of the money. The accused was said to be drunk and possessed a criminal background.
