MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has received greetings from Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, on the occasion of Eid al Fitr as follows:
“Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. We in Oman welcome the tidings of Eid al Fitr while holy month of Ramadhan is bidding farewell. On this auspicious occasion it is my honour and the honour of the valiant armed forces and all the affiliates of ministry of defence to express our sincere greetings and best congratulations to Your Majesty praying to Allah the Almighty to grant Your Majesty happiness and wellbeing.
Your Majesty, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, your courageous armed forces and all the ministry’s affiliates are praying to Allah the Almighty to perpetuate the bounties of good health and long life and to grant Your Majesty success to lead this country towards a better future. May Allah protect Your Majesty and bless your days.”
In his greetings, Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, said,“It is my personal honour, and on behalf of the members and staff of the State Council to express our sincere greetings and best wishes to Your Majesty on the occasion of Eid al Fitr.
We pray to Allah the Almighty to grant good health and happiness to Your Majesty and our dear Oman enjoys peace, stability and prosperity.”
In his greetings, Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, said,“Your Majesty Sultan Qaboos, May Allah protect you. On this occasion we pray to Allah to perpetuate the blessings of peace and security on this nation.
Your Majesty, you have promised to place the Sultanate high among the other nations and you have fulfilled your promise as the Omani people are today harvesting what you have endeavoured to achieve. It was only thanks to your Royal directives and constant follow-up that Oman has achieved security and stability.
The road map which you have laid down for a happy present and a flourishing future has become the light which shows us the road which we tread with earnest partnership with the government while we strive to achieve progress and prosperity in all the state sectors. Your Majesty, we renew our pledge to commit to these values and to follow your wise approach for the interest of the nation and the Omani people. Your Majesty, it is my honour, on behalf of Majlis Ash’shura, to express our thanks and gratitude along with our greetings to Your Majesty praying to Allah the Almighty to safeguard you and grant you strength and vigour.”
In his greeting, Lt Gen Hassan bin Mohsin al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, said, “It is my honour as it is the honour of all affiliates of Royal Oman Police to express our utmost greetings and congratulations to Your Majesty on the occasion of Eid al Fitr. We pray to Allah the Almighty give you good health and wellbeing and the Omani people peace, security and prosperity. The Eid al Fitr comes as our dear country enjoys happiness by virtue of Allah and thanks to the pillars of peace and security laid down by Your Majesty. The happiness is doubled as the Royal Oman Police marks this auspicious occasion after fasting during Ramadhan and have worked hard in performing their duties and serving their nation sincerely to attain satisfaction from Allah and Your Majesty. May Allah the Almighty protect Your Majesty and grant you good health and well-being.”
