Knowledge Oman seminar on Omani business startups

MUSCAT, sept 12 - Knowledge Oman (KO), the leading knowledge-based community platform, is launching a free seminar on the theme, ‘Starting Your Own Business’, at PACA Training Centre on September 18. The event is part of KO’s series of community seminars that bring together professionals from various sectors to share their knowledge and experience for the advancement of Oman.


Adnan Zubaid Khan, Head of Community Projects at Knowledge Oman, says, “The ‘Start Your Own Business’ seminar features leading entrepreneurs and experts to offer awareness and learning on being an entrepreneur in Oman. The seminar covers learning on leadership traits and skill sets of an entrepreneur, self-awareness, opportunities in Oman, understanding the elements of a business plan, understanding the commercial registration process, and discovering real life stories of Omani entrepreneurs.”


The seminar speakers include Richard Kemp, former director of the National CEO Programme of Oman; Abdullah al Jufaili, General Manager of Sharakah; Walaa Hamdan, General Manager of StartUp Oman; and Abdullah al Farsi of Invest Easy.


Panelists include Khalid al Suwaid, the award-winning entrepreneur behind popular eateries such as Bites and Graffiti Burger; Hazar al Zadjali, Founder and Managing Director of Muscat Boutique; and Firas al Musafir, Founder and CEO of Innovation Factory, the first digital manufacturing plant in Oman.
