ISM ‘A’ secure place in U-13 semis

MUSCAT: ISM ‘A’ beat ISWK ‘A’ by 8 wickets to enter the semifinals in the Oman Cricket Junior under-13 A division on January 21.

Batting first, ISWK ‘A’ put up 124 for 5 in 20 overs. Openers Amanpreet Singh and Akash Santosh scored 38 runs each. Bharat Srinivas took 3 wickets for 7 runs.

ISM ‘A’ reached their target in 15.4 overs losing 2 wickets. Opener Ayman Ayaz’s 77 not out in 54 deliveries (10x4) helped them secure bonus point. Bharat Srinivas contributed 26 runs and remained not out.

Sanjaya hits ton for SLSM

In another U-13 match, Sri Lankan School Muscat (SLSM) piled up 229 for 2 wickets in 20 overs. Sanjaya Ravindra scored a brilliant 109 in 62 balls with 9 boundaries. He was ably supported by Talha Khalid who remained not out on 50. Devin Wijeyananda scored 32 in 17 balls.

In reply MCCC ‘B’ could only manage 91 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Sanjaya Ravindra took 3 wickets for 10 runs.

ISAS EDGE BOC ‘B’

In under-13 ‘B’ division, ISAS edged BOC ‘B’ by 24 runs.

Batting first, Indian School Al Seeb scored 169 for 4 in 20 overs. Aryan Raju top-scored with 49 runs. Aditya SM contributed 33 and Dheeraj R remained not out on 35. Aditya Menon of BOC took 2 wickets.

In reply, BOC put up 145 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Opening partnership of 70 runs between Giri Pandian (39) and Yash Upadhaya (36) could not help BOC to victory as wickets fell at regular interval. Ayush B of ISAS took 3 wickets for 18 runs.
