Human resources conference kicks off in Salalah

Salalah: The 7th Gulf Human Resources Productivity Development Conference was inaugurated by Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Salalah on Tuesday


The conference is organised under the theme “Outstanding Job Performance for Outstanding and Sustainable Productivity” in collaboration with a number of government and private entities.


Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Nadabi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Service, delivered a speech in which he pointed out that the conference seeks to focus on strategies aimed at increasing the productivity of work and presenting the best applications and successful practices in the field of measuring productivity, its quality and impact on the working environment and employee.


The conference will discuss a number of topics, including performance measurement tools and linking them to effective productivity, creative thinking and self-empowerment to develop productivity, as well as the promotion of social development through programmes of happiness in work and the use of social media to stimulate productivity.


The conference targets all categories of jobs, CEOs, supervisors in different work areas, managers and human resources officers, managers of production lines in different fields in the public and private sectors and entrepreneurs. — ONA
