HTC has officially launched its new HTC One X10 midranger, albeit only in Russia for now. The smartphone comes with a focus on battery life and good specs for its price point, and should soon launch in more markets worldwide.

The main highlight of the smartphone is its extended battery life, as it packs a 4,000 mAh unit that should last for two days on a single charge.

The new HTC One X10 is all set to go on sale this month in Russia, coming in black and silver colour options, albeit there’s no information yet on a global release. HTC should launch the smartphone in more markets worldwide, but has yet to announce specific details.

The new HTC One X10 midranger sports a 5.5-inch full HD Super LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch and Gorilla Glass protection on top for extra scratch resistance.

Under the hood, the handset packs an octa-core MediaTek P10 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM, which should ensure a fast and smooth performance. Other specs include 32 GB of onboard storage space, expandable up to 2 TB via microSD, dual SIM support (nano

SIMs, both 4G-enabled), HTC BoomSound, fingerprint scanner, and fast charging.

The HTC One X10 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, BSI focus and LED flash, face detection, RAW format support, HTC Zoe camera, Pro mode for manual settings, Panorama, and Hyperlapse. On the front, the handset comes with an 8-megapixel selfie cam with an f/2.2 aperture, fixed focus, and BSI sensor. Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n (dual-band, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), GPS, GLONASS, DLNA, and Miracast.

The smartphone’s 4,000 mAh battery should provide up to 26 hours of talk time and up to 31 days in standby on 3G. One the software side of things, the HTC One X10 runs Android (unspecified version) with HTC Sense on top.
