HM reviews development march
MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos presided over the Council of Ministers’ meeting at Bait Al Barakah yesterday. His Majesty the Sultan commenced the meeting by thanking the Almighty Allah for bestowing welfare on Oman, praying to Allah to perpetuate those blessings on Oman and its people and that the world enjoy prosperity. Then, His Majesty reviewed the local, regional and international situations. At the domestic level, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his satisfaction with the efforts being exerted by all institutions of the State in all sectors in implementing the developmental and service programmes that aim at providing citizens with the best facilities and diversifying source of national income through utilisation of available investment opportunities in a number of spheres.
His Majesty stressed the importance of the continuation of taking care of the social and economic dimensions while preparing future plans, especially those related to generating job opportunities for youths, enhancing training and rehabilitation programmes to prepare efficiencies that can shoulder the responsibility of continuing the development and growth march in all fields, particularly in entrepreneurship work through SMEs. Within the context of His Majesty the Sultan’s reviewing of the situations on the regional and international arenas, His Majesty reaffirmed the pillars of the Omani policy in its relations with countries of the world, which are based on credibility in cooperation with everyone.
His Majesty pointed out to the importance of addressing all issues in a realistic manner to achieve everything that may lead to ensuring understanding and tranquility as this will have a positive impact on the welfare and stability of peoples. At the conclusion of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan issued his wise directives to intensify the ongoing efforts. His Majesty wished everyone success and Oman and its proud people further progress and welfare. — ONA
