GED examination results approved

MUSCAT: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, on Monday approved the results of the general education diploma (GED) first semester examinations for the academic year 2016-2017. The results will be available at 4 pm on Wednesday through SMS via Omantel and Ooredoo or by sending a message containing the index number to 90200. As many as 40,005 students sat for the examinations in the regular GED and the success rate registered 82.37 per cent. The success rate for the GED (bilingual private schools) was 91.22 per cent, GED for the Royal Guard Technical College registered a pass rate of 100 per cent and the Islamic studies registered a 98.77 percent pass rate. — ONA
