Riyadh: Gulf Arab states pledged on Thursday to fight “terrorism” and “foreign interference” across the region. In a joint statement following a meeting in Riyadh, ministers of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council said they were determined to prevent “harm to their national unity, the provoking of sectarian tensions and support for terrorist groups.” Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs took part in the GCC joint meeting. — Agencies
