By Zainab Al Nasseri — MUSCAT: April 2 - A number of farms and veterinary institutions were raided as they were found to use expired medicines and fertilisers during an inspection campaign conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. The two-day campaign targeted North and South Al Batinah as well as Buraimi. The supplying source, after investigations, was found to be in Barka from inside a large store belonging to a major company. The specialists found more than 200 types of expired medicines being used by various farms in the governorates. The case was referred to court for trial. The ministry has called upon farmers and animal lovers to cooperate and report any violations and continue to supervise veterinary entities.
