MUSCAT: The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has seized 90,000 packets of expired medical supplies from a company in Seeb, in violation of the Consumer Protection Law which bans circulation of counterfeit goods, or corrupt or imitation. The PACP has warned companies supplying medical equipment and drugs to hospitals and health centres not to manipulate expiry dates. The warning follows the raid by PACP team in coordination with the department of health and Royal Oman Police during which expatriates were found changing expiry dates on some medicines.
