Eid al Adha on September 1

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has announced that today (Wednesday, August 23) will be the first day of Dhul Hijjah 1438 AH. Accordingly, the Day of Arafah (9th of Dhul Hijjah) will fall on Thursday, August 31 and Friday, September 1 will be the first day of Eid al Adha (10th of Dhul Hijjah 1438 AH). The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has expressed its sincere greetings and best wishes to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos praying to the Almighty Allah for many returns of this auspicious occasion while His Majesty enjoys good health and well-being.
The Omani Haj Mission, which landed in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Saturday, said a part of the mission will be sent to Al Madinah Al Munawarah to serve 9,000 Omani pilgrims who will arrive there and who are part of a total of 14,000 Omani pilgrims registered with the e-registration system.
During its stay in Makkah Al Mukarramah and Al Madinah Al Munawarah, the Omani Haj Mission will provide services to Omani and resident pilgrims as well as other pilgrims to help them perform their rites. — ONA
