MUSCAT: Al Roya newspaper will launch on Sunday the sixth edition of Al Roya Economic Award under the auspices of Said bin Saleh al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). The ceremony will include a press conference to announce all details of the award. The 6th edition of the award witnesses a variety in categories and sectors targeted by the award. The 2017 award enjoys significant change and improvement in line with the need for an award and a platform that care for and monitor economic activity in the Sultanate.
Hatim bin Hamad al Ta’ei, Editor-in-Chief of Al Roya and Supervisor General of the award, affirmed that role of the media should be supportive to the activities of the economic sectors in the Sultanate, noting that Al Roya Economic Award represents the supporting arm that highlights the economic projects and initiatives in the country. He added that the press conference will highlight the important details in order to inform the public about it, so that the award’s message becomes direct, clear and understandable, especially since the award is designed to touch the trends of all sectors. — ONA
