Crude output declines in December

MUSCAT: The Sultanate’s total crude oil and condensates production during December 2016 stood at 30,850,917 barrels, a daily average by 995,191 barrels, constituting a decline of 1.76 per cent compared to the daily production during November 2016, according to the monthly report published by the Ministry of Oil and Gas. The total quantities of crude oil exported abroad during December 2016 stood at 25,491,702 barrels, a daily average of 822,313 barrels, comprising a decline of 11.17 per cent compared to November 2016 when calculating the daily average. The report said that the imported quantities by China comprised 92.05 per cent, a rise by 8.46 per cent compared to last month. The imported quantities by Japan registered a slight increase to stand at 3.61 per cent, while the imported quantities by Malaysia declined to stand at 2.38 per cent. Meanwhile, the imported quantities by India stood at 1.69 per cent. — ONA
