MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has carried out inspection visits to some shops in Al Buraimi following complaints that some shops sell military and other cloths having objectionable graphics.
Khadeem al Raysi, Director of Commerce and Industry in Al Buraimi, said: “The market monitoring was conducted and 26 shops were found to be selling military clothes and other products with mottos and symbols representing other countries.
The textile products included shirts, bags and shoes.
Al Raysi said: “The owners of shops were notified of the importance of abiding to the ministerial decision No (270 / 2015) which is concerned with banning the import of some products, including the military clothes and others.
He assured that the ministry will carry out the legal procedures against violators.
