Civil Service Minister receives Shell official

MUSCAT: Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, received in his office on Sunday Chris Breeze, General Manager, Chairman of Shell Oman Country at Shell Development Oman, as well as senior officials at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Shell Development and Haya Water. The meeting reviewed a programme of the Ministry of Civil Service to execute Kafaa programme and the stages made up to now. It also viewed experiences of some leading institutions in the same field. The project’s plan includes forming committees for implementing the project, as well as forming technical support team from government units.


Shell Development gave a presentation on its experience in relation to talents management and competence development. The presentation touched on several topics, such as some models of talents management at Shell Development, discussing criteria of performance classification, challenges of excellent performance and other related aspects. The meeting was attended by Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs, Sayyid Zaki bin Hilal al Busaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), Dr Lubna Mohammed Abdul Latif, Adviser at the World Bank and officials at the Ministry of Civil Service. — ONA
