MUSCAT: Royal Oman Police said it has arrested a citizen for recklessly driving a vehicle while crossing a wadi recently. He was also accused of drenching and bullying an expatriate who riding his bicycle. The arrest came after the video showing the act by the driver went viral on the social media and invited strong criticisms. ROP said a legal action taking action against him and send a strong message that inappropriate behaviour on the roads will be tolerated. As per the new traffic law there will be a prison sentence of up to three months and a fine of RO 500 for intentionally crossing valleys and putting the life of the individual as well as others at risk.
