Twenty artists have come together to show their finest for at a photo exhibition launched last Monday evening at the Centre Franco-Omanis (CFO).
Aptly titled “25 Works,” the launching was held under the patronage of Maryam al Zadjalia, the Head of Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA) and Mr Roland Dubertrand, the French Ambassador to Oman in an event attended by some of Oman’s prolific art fans.
During the launching, Dubertrand expounded on the role of CFO in promoting the works of Omani artists. He also shared that in the same vein, CFO is also very helpful in providing exposure for Francophone and other international artists and noted that the exhibition is a great example of that support.
The participating artists of the exhibition includes: Mona al Baiti, Marjan Habibian, Tala Atrouni, Dr. Fakhriya al Yahyaei, Khamis al Riyami, C. De Boursetty, Debjani, Ar. Hanan al Shihi, Ayman Humayra, Isabelle Whittaker, Wissem Abdelmoula, Ahmed al Toqi, Safiya al Bahlani, Leila Allagui, Ali al Marshudi, Ahmed al Shukaili, Fredinand Stephane-Coldefy, Sultan al Defaei, Ayoub al Balushi, Dr. Sabeeh Kalash, Maria Lanesi, Dominique Baudis, Caty Cordahi, umaimah al Sinani, Kholoud al Shuaibi, and Hafsa al Tamimi.
The exhibition showcases one work for each of the 25 artists. They all previously held solo exhibitions at CFO since 2013 until April this year. The exhibition is also a combination of different art works including sculpture, photography, paintings, digital media. The exhibition runs till May 29, 2017.
