Bank of Beirut named ‘Best Foreign Bank in Oman’

MUSCAT: Bank of Beirut was recently awarded ‘The Best Foreign Bank in Oman’ at the Banking and Finance Awards 2017 held at the Sheraton Oman Hotel and powered by the leading business magazine, Oman Economic Review (OER). The award was presented to Ramy Zambarakji, CEO, Bank of Beirut, by Hamood bin Sangour al Zadjali, Executive President of Central Bank of Oman (CBO). “We are delighted to get this prestigious honour. We believe that our success lies in our values and principles through placing our clients banking requirements at the heart of everything we do. Our professional team takes great pride in providing tailor-made services to financial institutions, corporations and individuals to ensure that their financial needs and objectives are successfully achieved,” Zambarakji stated upon receiving the award.


In the event, Bank of Beirut was praised for serving the diverse needs of its growing customer base during its 10 years presence across the Sultanate.


Starting with a single branch in 2006, Bank of Beirut now has a head office and five branches, in Shatti Al Qurum, Al Ghubra, Al Mouj, Barka and Souhar, with a staff of 150 employees, 95 per cent level of Omanisation and a double-digit growth from year to year. All the while emphasising the growing commitment to Oman and the determination to support and participate in the rapid growth and development of the Sultanate’s financial sector.
