MUSCAT: As many as 493 students were presented their certificates of award Certificates by the Vice Chancellor. A ceremony was held at Sultan Qaboos University on Sunday under the patronage of Dr Ali bin Saud al Bimani, Vice Chancellor, to honour a group of students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. As many as 493 students including 401 females and 92 males were awarded a personalized certificate of honour. The outstanding students are honoured every year at SQU. This is aimed at motivating students to excel in their studies and recognizing outstanding students who have set an example for fellow students.
Dr Salim al Ghanbusi, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, congratulated the students who received the awards. He said: “We would like to say congratulations to all the students who have thus far made the honour roll. We are very proud of your academic success and all the hard work you have put in this year and for all your great accomplishments.” On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor opened and exhibition organized by the group of students to display their annual trip in 2016 to South Korea.
