25.4 million barrels crude exported in July

MUSCAT: The total quantity of crude oil exported in July 2017 stood at 25,440,800 barrels, compared to June 2017 when it was 24,144,500 barrels. The total exports registered a 9.9 per cent decline from 190,715,500 barrels till the end of July in 2016 to 171,898,900 barrels until July end this year, according to the figures released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI). The Sultanate’s total crude oil and condensates production in July stood at 29,977,000 barrels, a daily average by 967,000 barrels.


The average price of oil declined 4.3 per cent in July this year compared to the previous month.


There has been a 3.8 per cent decline in oil production until July this year compared to the same period of 2016, the data showed. The crude oil exported to China showed a 7.5 per cent decline from 143,390,000 barrels until the end of July last year to 132,699,900 barrels until the end of July this year. Crude exports to Taiwan meanwhile showed a 20.3 per cent growth from 11,963,400 barrels in 2016 to 14,385,600 barrels until end of July this year. — ONA
