MUSCAT: Twenty-four new petrol stations were opened by Oman Oil, Shell and Al Maha in various governorates since the beginning of January 2016 until the end of November, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The ministry also said that 11 licenses were issued to LPG warehouses between January to November in the Governorates of Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiyah and Al Buraimi. The ministry noted that the sale of cylinders of liquefied petroleum gas (cooking gas) is considered as being among the medium and small enterprises that help create jobs for Omani youth and provide them a good income without relying on government jobs. — ONA
