By Kaushalendra Singh — SALALAH: May 21 - A total of 119,000 people have been vaccinated against measles in Dhofar Governorate during the week-long vaccination drive against the disease. Keeping in mind the huge turnout, the Ministry of Health has decided to extend the drive for one more week. Thus, Saturday (May 20) being the last day of the campaign under the previous schedule, the drive now would continue till May 27.

According to statistics cited by the Directorate-General of Health Services in Dhofar, out of 119,000 people immunised against MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), 40,740 are Omanis and 78,260 are non-Omani residents.
